As a proud Berens River First Nation band member in Treaty 5 territory, her rich Metis heritage, tracing back to her great-grandfather George Edmund McKay (grandson of Angus Mckay), a founding figure in the Manitoba Metis Federation, inspires her commitment to community and innovation.
